"The BEST coffee morning I have ever been to"

The thought of a coffee morning normally results in my eyes glazing over and a siren in my head shouting AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I am just unsociable, borderline anti-social, and totally wrapped up in caring for my severely disabled child and working and fighting for services.

I find other people's attempts to be "helpful grating and well, unhelpful. The don't "get it".

That was until I went to the really fantastic (and at that time online* session - *being on line at that time I did have to make me own coffee(!)) with the Carers Group run by the Abide Church.

I'd been advised to attend by Cllr Brabazon and I was delighted to see Cllr Connor there. Councillors of both parties on the Council here in Haringey regularly attend. It is a lovely thing for them to do.

It was lovely, very supportive, none judgement and it made a huge impact on me at time I was feeling, totally desolate and despondent.

For me anyway it was, it completely enhanced my mood and truly gave me that supportive prop to keep going".

Well worth the time spent and no a waste of your rare and precious free time at all.
